After completion, Hanwha Solutions will retrieve investments by selling off those projects. DB Financial Investment estimates 700 billion won to 800 billion won per gigawatt.

감사원이 수도권 미세먼지 악화의 주원인 중 하나로 ‘친환경’으로 포장된 LNG발전소의 오염물질 배출 관련 산자부와 환경부에 시정을 촉구했다. 한국가스공사가 카타르에서 2025년부터 20년간 연 200만t 규모의 액화천연가스를 신규 도입, 기존 도입 가격 대비 약 10억달러를 절감할 전망이다. South Korea’s energy ministry said that it had signed a 20-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with Qatar for the next 20 years starting in 2025. “This long-term contract is considered to have favourable contract conditions, which would help stabilize LNG supply as well as to significantly drop fees,” the ministry said.

에너지경제연구원에 따르면 최근 2년 연속 뒷걸음쳤던 총에너지 수요가 올해 총에너지 수요는 전년 대비 4.2% 증가할 것으로 전망됐다. 에너지원별로 보면 천연가스와 전기 수요 증가율은 각각 4%와 3%로 제시됐고 석탄을 뺀 대부분 에너지원 수요가 늘 것으로 관측됐다.
